A Utah native, Lauren has been working in Democratic politics since 2004. Lauren's passion for social justice & equality and her desire for change drew her to politics and campaigning.
As a University of Utah student, Lauren started as a field organizer with the campaign against Amendment 3. Through graduation, she worked with Utah House and Senate candidates, as well as municipal candidates. In 2008, Lauren was hired as Manager of Programs and Advocacy for Equality Utah where she focused on community building throughout the state and the Political Action Committee.
In 2011, she was selected to be the Executive Director of the Salt Lake County Democratic Party, and after running a successful coordinated campaign in 2012; Lauren was hired to be the Political Director for the Utah Democratic Party. In her position as Political Director, Lauren worked with Democrats from Washington County to Cache County to energize and mobilize activists and party leaders. She has collaborated with candidates, activists, volunteers, and elected officials.
Lauren loves working with people and Utah politics and is excited to work with Democrats across the state to create meaningful change in our state.
