CSBS Solutions Scholars

The CSBS Solutions Scholars program is currently inactive and will not be accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year

The Solutions Scholars program is currently paused and not accepting applications for the 2025–2026 academic year. The following information is provided for archival and historical reference only, as the program represents a key part of the College of Social and Behavioral Science’s commitment to addressing pressing social and environmental issues.

What is the Solutions Scholars program?

The Solutions Scholars program admitted a cohort of approximately 20 students each fall. These students were committed to addressing key challenges facing our world - such as immigration, inequities facing women, climate change, poverty, and human rights. Through a combination of course instruction, experiential learning, research, and internship experiences, Solutions Scholars developed the skills needed to help create solutions to the most urgent issues of our time. Each Solutions Scholar was supported with a $2,000 scholarship disbursed over one year.

Although the program is currently paused, you are welcome to reach out with questions or to learn more about its legacy within the College of Social and Behavioral Science.
