Ambassador Report – Fall 2014 Semester
Development & Donor Relations
• Meet and greet at the Robert Spendlove & Zach Robison Debate 10/6
• On-going meetings with Development Specialist to develop greater presents between
Ambassadors and donors
Mentoring
• Researching best practices t connect students with alumni through dean's list breakfast,
mentoring lunches & web/media
• On-going meetings with Development Specialist to develop greater presents between
Ambassadors and alumni
ASUU Funding
• Updated and maintained status as a student group
• Developed bill to present in December for funding spring Ambassador activities for
students
Service/Community
• One Ambassador served as a member of Service Coalition through Bennion Center to
stay connected to ways Ambassadors can support theirs and other service projects.
• Fall 2014 – through Development Specialist, partnered with United Way to help with
College Application Week at Cottonwood HS
• Spring 2015 – made connections with states foster care and Transition to Adult Living
(TAL) program for outreach efforts for students who have been in foster care and provided
support and resources to attending higher education
• On-going meetings with Development Specialist to develop greater presents between
Ambassadors and donors
Events
• During summer 2014, all ambassadors participated in first year new student orientations
and help incoming freshman know about CSBS and register for classes
• During Welcome Week, Ambassadors sponsored an open house for CSBS students, faculty
and stuff, 8/26
• During Welcome Week, Ambassadors sponsored table at Plazafest focused on student
engagement in CSBS
• Attended Dean's list breakfast in Sept.
• Promoting first ever undergraduate survey to faculty and students.
• Helped with CSBS Advisory Board meeting 11/14
• Helped with 11/10 CSBS Event: Alum Harris Simmons
Research
• Research Workshop and student panel on 10/23 to prepare students for UROP spring
deadline for 11/20
• CSBS Student Research Day
MUSE
• MUSE donated 140 books, My Beloved World, Sonia Sotomayor, to give free to students
at CSBS student events in anticipation for her presentation on Jan. 28th
Career Services Collaboration
• First year starting this collaboration – worked with CS Ambassadors during fall
2014 on partnership with CS and CSBS events.
• Suit Up program; SAC outreach; Career Pathway events
SAC Collaboration
• Reached out to all dept SAC beginning of year to ask ways to support and help promote
events.
• Lead Ambassadors for ASUU and Career Services, partnered with Lead SAC Ambassador
on developing workshop for SAC on ASUU funding and services through CS.
• Visited to UC 1050 major exploration courses to talk about majors in CSBS
MISC
• Input to Dean and SR. VP on new building.
• Spotlight program – submitted theirs and asking fellow students

ASUU Funding
• Submitted the first ever budget proposal for 2015-16
Service/Community
• One Ambassador serves as a member of Service Coalition through Bennion Center to
stay connected to ways Ambassadors can support theirs and other service projects.
• Collaborated with Hartland for Community Engagement Day April 28, 2015
Events
• Tabled in OSH during first week of school to advertise CSBS academic programs.
• Tabled for Plazafest II during the first week of school
• Helped with Dean's list breakfast in January
• Tabled for the Latinos in Action conference on 3/27/15
• Helped with two Admission events: Bringing U to You (March) and Red, White and U
Day (April)
• Attended Etiquette dinner through Career Services for networking
Research
• Tabled on April 8 and 9 to promote CSBS research day on 4/24
MUSE
• MUSE donated 140 books, My Beloved World, Sonia Sotomayor, to give free to students
at CSBS student events in anticipation for her presentation on Jan. 28th and they
were able to give every book away to students for free at events
• Attended a dinner with Sonia Sotomayor before her event on 1/28
Career Services Collaboration
• In collaboration with Career Services, our first Graduate School workshop was held
for CSBS students on 4/8/15
SAC Collaboration
• Organized a MapGive event on March 5 to bring SAC's, students and community together
for humanitarian mapping
MISC
• With Admissions office, conducted a calling campaign for newly admitted students
who are interested in majoring in the college
• An Ambassador will be sitting on the curriculum committee for 2015-16
