The Affordable Care Act and U Panel Discussion
The Affordable Care Act and U was a tremendously successful collaborative event that included 5 of our college majors. The Hinckley Caucus Room was filled to capacity with students.
Students who planned and marketed this event were:

Faculty Panelists:
- John McCullough from anthropology spoke about the evolutionary trajectory of human health and not only addressed the development of human health but how the U.S. compares to other countries.
- Jim Curry from political science spoke about the political dynamics behind the ACA and why there is so much conflict.
- Cathleen Zick from family and consumer studies had an interactive powerpoint on myths and realities specifically targeted toward 19 – 29 year olds and the ACA.
- Norman Waitzman represented Economics and Health, Society and Policy and addressed the Medicaid Expansion in Utah and the economics surrounding the ACA.
